da fazobetai: Plenty of Chelsea fans expressed concern on Twitter a few weeks ago over the club’s apparent struggle to sign a new striker.
da dobrowin: Romelu Lukaku opted to join Manchester United instead of return to Stamford Bridge, which raised questions over who Chelsea would swoop for.
Last week, the Premier League champions put the rumours to bed by confirming the arrival of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.
According to The Telegraph, the Blues paid an initial £58m fee for the Spain international, who was also linked to United.
Ahead of Tuesday’s pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich in Singapore, Chelsea put Morata through his paces in training.
It was the first time that the 24-year-old has trained for his new club, and he seemed to enjoy it judging by the picture that Chelsea tweeted.
With sweat dripping down his face, Morata managed to smile for the camera as he awaits his debut.
Chelsea fans reacted to the club’s tweet by giving Morata some very high praise, despite the striker not yet playing for the Blues.
