Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he rejected offers from a number of other clubs before committing his long-term future to the Gunners last week.
The 60-year-old Frenchman penned a new three-year contract after deciding to extend his amazing reign at the Emirates Stadium, before seeing his side open their new season with a 1-1 draw at Liverpool.
Wenger told reporters:"I love the club and I don't see myself going anywhere else.
"I believe I have one way only to show my commitment to this club – by signing a contract I have been offered.
"I didn't put the gun to anyone's head and I can only show one way how much I want to do well for the club.
"I get offers, but I always keep a note in my job that I go to the end of my contract.
"I wasn't ready to talk and for me it is important to focus and not talk about other clubs or opportunities that I have.
"The best way to focus is to extend the contract, but the day I feel I cannot focus or take the team further, I will go."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
