Westchester FC announced on Tuesday that U.S. international Tyler Adams has joined the ownership group, adding that the USMNT midfielder is expected to be involved in all aspects of the club's operations once it begins play in March. Adams, who grew up in nearby Dutchess County, N.Y., also owns the Hudson Valley Hammers of the USL League Two alongside his stepfather, Darryl Sullivan.
Westchester SC was granted a USL League One franchise on May 9, 2024, and has since hired Dave Carton as the club's first head coach. Among the players in the squad is Adams' former New York Red Bulls teammate and ex-Jamaican international Kemar Lawrence.

"Westchester Soccer Club represents everything I value about the game—community, development , and opportunity," said Adams. "Growing up in Dutchess County, I've seen firsthand how soccer can bring people together and inspire young players to dream big. Joining this ownership group is not only an honor but also an incredible chance to give back to the region that played such a huge role in my journey."
Added Westchester SC principal owner Mitch Baruchowitz: "This is a special day not just for our club, but for all of soccer and sport in the region. To have not only an elite athlete who was starred on the biggest stage, but someone whose family is deeply connected to developmental soccer in the region proactively join us at this stage of his career in a leadership position speaks volumes as to what we are building. We welcome Tyler and his family and look forward to having them with us as we head toward our inaugural season and beyond."

On the pitch, Adams has been in fantastic form with Bournemouth since returning from injury, emerging as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League over the past several weeks. The USMNT star currently leads the Premier League in successful tackles per 90 minutes and interceptions per 90, which has helped climb to a surprising seventh in the league.
Internationally, Adams will look to return to the USMNT in March after missing fall matches due to injury. The midfielder has 42 career caps and was the USMNT's captain at the 2022 World Cup, making him the youngest player to serve in that role since 1950.
